What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are essential — without one, your cart would empty the moment you opened a second page. Others are optional and exist so we can measure what is working. This page covers both, plus the closely related technologies we use in the same way: localStorage and IndexedDB, which the store uses to keep a guest cart and an offline copy of your recently viewed pieces on your own device.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary. Sign-in sessions, cross-site request forgery protection, your cart, and the record of your cookie choice itself. These cannot be switched off, because without them the store does not function. We do not ask for consent to set them, which is what the ePrivacy Directive permits for cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4, used to understand which pages and products lead to an order — page views, product views, add-to-cart, and completed purchases. This is the category that tells us whether an article we wrote actually helped anyone. Off unless you turn it on.
Marketing. Attribution for advertising — connecting an ad click to an eventual order so we know which campaigns pay for themselves. Off unless you turn it on. We do not sell or share your personal information with advertising networks for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How your consent is actually applied
This is worth stating precisely, because a great many sites do it the other way round. Before any analytics script is requested, our pages send a default consent state of “denied” for advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalisation and analytics storage — Google's Consent Mode v2 signals. Only when you choose otherwise is an update sent granting the categories you allowed.
The practical consequence: if you reject, or simply ignore the banner, the analytics tag stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you across visits. Rejecting is not a preference we apply later — it is the state the page starts in.

Analytics cookies appear only after you have granted the analytics category. If you have never accepted, you will not find _ga on your device.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the button below to reopen the preferences panel at any time. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately for anything loaded afterwards; cookies already set by a category you have now refused can be removed with your browser controls, below.
Browser controls
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies for a specific site, independently of anything we do. Look for “Cookies and site data” under Privacy settings in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, or “Manage Website Data” in Safari. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and sign-in from working — that is a limitation of how the web works, not a choice we made.
